Runescape:Guide on Ancient Magicks

There are several different types of magic in the world of Runescape. Which branch of powerful spells a player uses depends on several things. Ancient Magicks can only be used by players who pay the monthly membership fee, and even then, they must complete the Desert Treasure quest. Players may only use one type of magick at a time.

Players gain access to the Ancient Magicks by praying inside the pyramid. Once they do so, they can use Ancient Magicks but not normal spells-they have to pray again to switch back. Praying drains away all of a player's prayer points. Note that the first time a player travels through the pyramid; they must go through the entire area. However, once they reach the altar, they'll gain the ability to use the shortcut to get directly to the altar from outside, saving a lot of time.

Types of Ancient Magicks

Ancient Magicks come in two types: teleport spells and damage spells. Spells can also be broken down by element. A few spells have restrictions on them. For example, Miasmic spells can only be cast by players who have Zuriel's Staff equipped.

» Blood spells heal the player and damage the enemy.

» Ice spells freeze and hurt the target.

» Shadow spells damage the target and lower their attack power.

» Smoke spells damage and poison the target.

» Miasmic spells damage the target and lowers its melee and ranged attack power.

There are also four different classes of spells:

Rush spells do high damage to a single target.

Blitz spells do very high damage to a single target.

Burst spells do high damage to enemies in a 3 x 3 area.

Barrage spells do very high damage to all enemies in a 3 x 3 area.

Ancient Magick Spells

Players can open their spell books to view all of the Ancient Magick spells that they know. These spells use more runes than normal spells, so players should be careful about using Ancient Magick over and over. These magicks do give experience like normal spells, plus players receive two magic experience for each point of damage they do with Ancient Magick spells.

Some of the Ancient Magick spells are listed below.

Home Teleport - teleports the player to Edgeville. No runes are required for this teleport spell, but players can only cast it once every 30 minutes.

Shadow Rush - lowers an enemy's attack by 10% plus does damage.

Ice Rush - Damages the enemy and freezes it for five seconds.

Smoke Burst - Poisons the enemy.

Blood Burst - Heals the player for 25% of the damage done to the enemy.

Miasmic Burst - Slows all ranged and melee attacks by half for 24 seconds.

The Ancient Staff

Players don't have to equip the ancient staff to use Ancient Magicks, but it certainly helps. It is the only item in the game that can auto cast Ancient Magicks, plus it provides a very nice +15 bonus to magic attacks. Players must first buy the ancient staff from Eblis for 80,000 gold pieces. Once they have purchased one, they can get another ancient staff by killing mummies in the ancients pyramid.

Ancient Magick Uses

One nice thing about all Burst and Barrage spells is that they can hit more than one enemy. This works very well in certain areas or while Player Killing on a team. They can also be a great way of training since you'll get experience for each target hit.

Ancient Magicks are perhaps the most useful when used while killing other players in Bounty Hunter and the mini-games. Ice spells freeze and damage the target, allowing players to stay far away from their targets while casting spells at them. In fact, if a player's opponent doesn't use any ranged or magic attacks, freezing them in place effectively makes them trapped without any way of inflicting damage or escaping. Likewise, the Miasmic spells can greatly weaken an enemy by cutting their attack power in half. When combined, there is little a melee attack character can do against a master of the Ancient Magicks

Runescape : Cooking Skill Guide--Guild Guides

The Cooking Guild is located in northern Misthalin, north-west of Varrock. It is open to all players, both F2P and P2P (members). To enter, you must have at least level 32 cooking and must be wearing a chef's hat.

Alternatively members with level 99 cooking may wear their Cooking Skillcape or their Varrock armour 3 platebody . Upon entering, you'll be greeted by the Head Chef.

The Skills necklace teleport is an easy way for members to arrive just outside the guild door. Simply rub it and choose this guild as the destination. (Read the skills necklace items database entry to learn more about making and recharging it.) You'll still need your Chef's hat, Cooking skillcape, or Varrock armour 3 to enter.

The Mill
The guild features a mill that grinds grain into flour, an important cooking ingredient. To use the mill, first collect grain from a wheat field. The nearest one is directly behind the building. Once you have your grain, go to the top floor of the guild and use it on the hopper. Every time you put grain in the hopper, operate the controls. After the millstones have ground your grain, go to the ground floor and collect your flour in pots.

Ground Floor
One side of the room has a chute where the flour comes out of the mill. A table on the north side features a chocolate bar spawn. The east side has a very useful range right next to a bank, but these may only be accessed if you are wearing a Varrock armour 3 platebody obtained from the Varrock Achievement Diaries. Members can visit Romily Weaklax's Pie Shop on this floor (shop items are listed in a table below).

First Floor
On this floor there are two ranges ready for use. (Check Tip.It's Cooking Skill Guide for information on how to cook any food.) Members can use the churn to make dairy products (butter, cream, and cheese). The millstones can also be viewed at this level. Spawns include: Pie dish, Cake tin, Bowl, and two Cooking apples.

Second floor
On this floor you can put grain in the hopper and operate the controls to grind flour. You can also collect items for making wine. Spawns include: Cooking apple, Jug, Pot, Grapes.

Pie Shop (members only)
Back down on the ground floor, Romily Weaklax's Pie Shop sells a recipe book for making pies. He also buys pies, but his normal pie stock is zero, so he can only sell what he's bought from other players.

The Pies section of the Cooking Skill Guide discusses pies and exactly how to make them. For example, fish must be cooked before they are added to pies. Also, pies are eaten in two bites. Note that multiple pie ingredients must be added in the exact order listed. You can't mess up - it just won't let you add ingredients in the wrong order.

Romily Weaklax also has a challenge for you: would you make him a certain number of a specific type of pie? He will pay you for your efforts. The pay is only a bit more than the cost of ingredients, and since most ingredients are valued quite low, you won't get rich making pies for him. It's just one way to break up your training routine if you want to try something different.

How to Gain Hitpoint Levels in Runescape

This is a guide to how to gain Hitpoint levels. If you want to gain Hitpoint levels in Runescape, just look through.

The most efficent and least boring way to raise your Hitpoints level is in direct combat. Each time you successfully land a blow on your opponent, your Hitpoints level increases in experience according to how much damage was caused, also adding a little extra. In combat, it doesn't matter how you raise your Hitpoints level, as long as you either use Melee, Range, or Magic.

~Attack, Strength, and Defence Formula~

(1 x 4)= 4xp each hit.

*Hitpoints Formula~

(1 x 1.33)= 1.33xp each hit.

The best way to raise your Hitpoints level, besides just raising it along with your other Combat skills, is by the minigame Pest Control. You can gain money and points to spend on experience.

Another great way of training Hitpoints is by using Red Chincompas at Ape Atoll on the Zombie monkies in Zooknook's Tunnel (I refer to it as the Tunnel of Annoyance ). As well as gaining fabulous range experience, it will also raise your Hitpoints experince by quite a large amount.

A very popular way to raise your Hitpoints nowadays is by spending zeal from Soul Wars on Hitpoints experience. Every 20 minutes, a game starts, but you can join in on an existing one too. Say you joined in 3 games an hour and you lost all three of them. Therefore, you only get 3 zeal. On average, you can gain at least 5k xp for each point. Look at this formula.

60min/20min= 3
That's on average how many games you can participate in every hour.

3 losses * 1 zeal = 3 zeal per hour.
This only applies if you lose every game.

3 zeal • 5k xp= 15,000 experience per hour.

Hope this help.

Welcome to Thepowerlevel .

Start by going to Olaf Hradson, Northeast of Rellekka and South of the Fremmenik hunting area. Talk to him and he will ask you for a favor. In return you get a map for a treasure. You will need to take some carving to his wife and son. But the carvings must be made with special wood from a windswept tree. Go up the cliff to the ice area and cut the tree there.

Required:

Items:

Spade, woodcutting axe (any kind), tinderbox. (You can also take some agility pots, food, armor and weapon).

Quests:

Fremmenik trials

Skills:
At least 50 woodcutting and 40 firemaking. A high agility lvl (60+) is highly suggested. Monster

encounters:
Lvl 100 skeleton

Start by going to Olaf Hradson, Northeast of Rellekka and South of the Fremmenik hunting area. Talk to him and he will ask you for a favor. In return you get a map for a treasure. You will need to take some carving to his wife and son. But the carvings must be made with special wood from a windswept tree. Go up the cliff to the ice area and cut the tree there.

Give the wood back to Olaf and he will give you 2 crude carvings. You will need to give this to the wife and son.

Son: go north of the Longhall in Rellekka (near the helmet shop and sand pit) and search for Volf Olafson. Talk to him and give one of the crude carving.

Note: Volf will give you a cooked shark (don't eat it!).

Wife: Go east of the longhall and look around the well for Ingrid Hradson. Talk to her and give the other crude carving.

Now go back to Olaf and ask him for the map. He will tell you he's angry and cold. Light the embers with a tinderbox and give him the shark you got from Volf. Now he will give you the map. Look at the map and you will see the X is a bit south of the windswept tree. Go back there and dig a couple of paces south of the tree. You will fall through and you will find yourself in a cave.

Walk though the cave and go past the Fremmnik skeletons. Look for a door with a picture on it. Try to open the door and solve the puzzle. The correct sequence is bottom, right, top, left, and then press confirm. Go through the door.

Go further and head north to a large cavern. Here you will find rotten barrels and ropes. Pick up six ropes and two barrels. Also kill a Skeleton Fremennik so that you get a key. Now un-equip your weapon and shield Now go the slippery walkway and use a barrel on the first gap and do the same on the second gap. Keep in mind that you can fall in the water and that you have to start all over again. When you reach the door choose the correct shape from your key. Go though the door and walk further until you reach the end.

Now open the chest and you will get attacked by a lvl 100 Ulric. Kill it and open the chest again!

The best place to mine gold in Runescape

Welcome to Thepowerlevel!

Where is the best place to mine gold in Runescape? This is a important question in game.If you find a good place to mine gold, you'll be a millionaire in short time.

Northwest of Brimhaven, and just southwest of the wooden outpost used to get to the realm of the Fisher King during the Holy Grail quest, there are 10 gold ore spawns in the shape of a letter "C". This place is not the area in front of the dungeon with the metallic dragons and with all the pineapple spawns nearby. Count the gold ore spawns. If you don't count "10", that's "ten", you are in the wrong place. Head north from there, you will pass a lake, then you will hit the coastline. Follow the coastline west then north then northwest. You should see 10 gold ore spawns in the shape of a letter "C". Now there are a bunch of scorpions here, you must be at least level 40 combat for them to leave you alone.

There is only enough gold for this to be an effective area for just one player. If two players mine this area your rate of mining gold will be very slow, this isn't (R)zinia you know. If you get to this spot and see that there is already someone here, just world-hop. It's a pain yes, but it won't kill you and it's the polite thing to do. But not everyone is as polite as you. If you were here first and someone comes along and starts mining too, stand your ground and have mining duels with him and force him to leave. Even if your mining level is lower than his, stand your ground because, believe me, you have a decent chance. I've gotten into duels with players that have 60 mining. And they can give me a decent run for my money from time to time, even though I'm 99 mining. If you were there first, fear no one... not even a 99 miner.

How you will mine at Brimhaven and bank your ores depends entirely on what your other skills are and how many quests you've done. There are three good ways to mine at Brimhaven. They all require certain skill levels and some quests.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Flipping

Flipping: Purchasing an item for a lower price with the intention of selling it for a higher price in Runescape, generally within the same update. It is also known as short-term investing and takes advantage of shifts within the price for an item over the course of a day.

Requirements: A minimum of 3-4 million RS gold, otherwise you may be better off mining pure essence as far as money-making per hour. sums other than this are good if you plan on increasing your wealth and wish to practice, or if you simply wish to do it for fun.

Advantages

The advantages of flipping over investing is that flipping makes more money per day, sometimes 2-3x as much as a person investing with the same amount of money. The reason for this is that in investing making 5% in a day is considered fantastic. Before I started doing slayer I was averaging 6% on days that I was on runescape. A few percent might not sound like a lot, but it was enough at the time that my average money made was the same as my friend who had 3x as much money. I recently started flipping again and boosted my average to 9%, with one 3-day span where I had a 30% gain in net worth. Flipping also gives you a higher level of liquidity, meaning that it is easier to get your money out and use it for skills or combat.

Disadvantages

Finding good flipping items can be very time intensive. Whenever I find good flipping items, I dont tell anyone else except for my closest friends because even the addition of a few people can ruin the market. If you ask me what my items are, I will probably ignore you or tell you that I dont give them out.

In addition, you also buy RS powerleveling from THEpowerlevel,we promise that the price is the lowest. Thanks for your support.
